Thank you for taking the time to read our Privacy Policy. Our app helps you track your physiological health data, such as heart rate, number of steps, sleep, temperature, SpO2, etc. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect and use information that we obtain from your use of MyPHD App. This includes data we collect from devices that you choose to connect to our App to help you track your activities, such as Apple Watch, Fitbit or any other third-party devices that measure physical activities.

In particular, this Privacy Policy includes:

Registration

Upon consenting to a study, we securely send an anonymized login key to participants which they can use to securely logged-in to the app.

Information Access and Permission

Upon logging in, the app asks you for permission to access your health data, including heart rate, steps, and sleep analysis.

For wearables that are supported via HealthKit and Google Fit, permission would be gained from Apple Health and Google Fit accounts accordingly. 
For wearables that are supported via their own API/SDK, permission would be gained from their own app.

What information we may obtain about you in connection with our system

There is no PHI data in MyPHD app. With your permission, MyPHD collects your health data for further analysis. MyPHD de-identifies and fully encrypts all information before trasfering the data.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide, analyze, and visualize your health status. Your information is not shared with any vendors or service providers for analytics or advertising purposes.

Data usage might be different for different studies. Each study indicates the use of participants wearable and surveys data in their consent forms.

MyPHD App has been approved by Data Risk Assessment (DRA) at Stanford University.
