Our team

We are guided by the belief that health data should be made accessible for scientists, physicians, patients…and ultimately anyone to understand the uniqueness of each person’s biology, and to empower everyone to make better health decisions.

Leadership

Arash Alavi

Software Engineering Director at Stanford Deep Data Research Center
Dr. Arash Alavi is the Director of Software Engineering at Stanford Deep Data Research Center, Stanford University, School of Medicine. Arash received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside in September 2019. Currently, Arash is working on building novel secure, scalable, and intelligent platforms for real-time precision medicine.

Amir Bahmani

Director at Stanford Deep Data Research Center
Lecturer at Stanford University

Dr. Amir Bahmani is the Director at Stanford Deep Data Research Center, and a lecturer at Stanford University. He has been working on distributed and parallel computing applications since 2008. Currently, Amir is an active researcher in the VA Million Veteran Program (MVP), Human Tumor Atlas Network (HTAN), the Human BioMolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP), Stanford Metabolic Health Center (MHC) and Integrated Personal Omics Profiling (iPOP).

Michael Snyder

Michael Snyder

Chair and Professor at Department of Genetics at Stanford University

Dr. Michael Snyder led the first large-scale functional genomics project in any organism, and has developed many technologies in genomics and proteomics. He has combined different state-of-the-art “omics” technologies to perform the first longitudinal detailed integrative personal omics profile (iPOP) of person and used this to assess disease risk and monitor disease states for personalized medicine. He is the cofounder of Personalis, SensOmics, Qbio @qbioinc, January AI, Filtricine, Mirvie, Protos, Protometrix (now part of Thermo-Fisher). Affomix (now part of Illumina). He presently serves on the board of a number of companies, and is the author of the book: ‘Genomics and Personalized Medicine: What Everyone Needs to Know’.
